Women in the body of Christ?

I have a giant controversy in me right now. I was with some of my friends and we were discussing about women and their role in the church and we all could not make a decision.



I just read in 1 Timothy 2 where is says " A women should learn in quietness and in submission. I do not permit women to teach or to have authority over men, she must be silent. For Adam was born first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one who deceived, it was Eve who did and became a sinner." This is really plain blank out there but I have some controversy.

1) Paul later tells us that the reason for women having no authority is because they were not educated. This does not refer to now because in present day, women are just as educated as men and there is no reason for women to not be able to to minister a church.

2) Timothy was written to a male minister Timothy in Ephesus where the women there where were leaders of the worship temple for the (false) goddess Artemis. This easily could have bee the reason Paul told them women should not be able to work in the Church or have any say.

3) In the bible is clearly says EVERYONE (not just men) are to try to be like Jesus and be his Earthly mirror image. If you look in God's word, no-where does Jesus say or even in any way act like men and women are to be treated unequal. Jesus fully gave women and men equal rights. If Jesus was courteous towards women and treated them equally, then so should we...right?

Seperation of the state and the Church?

What does this mean? Well in the First Amendment of the U.S. constitution it tells us, "Congress shall have no respect of an establishment of religion..." To me this mean, the education or the political aspect of society can't base their judgements and decisions, ideas, anything, on religion. Including the education system.

This is why there is no more prayer or talk of religion in the class or on the intercom or whatever. So does this mean we are not allowed to talk about Jesus in the school! NOO! They may take away the right to talk about in class but they can't do that to the kids. They can not shut the Christians up!!

This means!!!!, that we, the family and body of Jesus Christ must be his hands and feet and serve the almighty God with ours mouths and show, talk and bless our friends and peers and school. If no one else can tell them than who can? US the kids of McCants Middle School, Lakeside Middle, T.L. Hannah, Westside, Southwood!!!!! Here is a quote I said, "If you would push you friends out of the way of a moving vehicle, then wouldn't you move someone out of the way of the enemy?" All you have to do is speak to them, no pushing, no violence, no public humiliation involved!

Here is another question, do you think not taking the oppertunity with one awkward moment for someone is worth them living their eternal life in the fire pit of Hell? Why would we sit around and wait? Why sit back relax and watch the people go to Hell? Every minute you do not tell the about Jesus, is another minute satan has a chance to take him instead of you! OK SO MY FINGERS ARE TIRED!!! GOOD LUCK AND RETHINK NOT TALKING TO PEOPLE ABOUT JESUS, oh one last thing, think about Pete in the Bible, he got crusified for not giving up his faith for God and you know what happened to him, he got killed!!! So for you just telling them, omg you might just a chance get embarrassed! OH MY GOODNESS!!!! That would stink wouldn't!

Sinners Get Frowned Upon

So, have you ever done something big, i mean huge that everyone laughed at? Maybe you pooted in class? Maybe a rumer started about you? What ever it was, it didn't feel good and that is the same way sinners are treated upon.

Say one of your friends blow the top off of his relationship with Jesus and "drops the ball" as Brad would say. Do you not hang out with him because he isn't a virgin anymore? NOOOO!!!! Just like the embarrassing moment, when you do something, and you get talked about and frowned upon, IT FEELS AWFUL!!! So what do you do? You comfort them, say okay I know what you did was wrong and you do too but lets try to sit down and think how we can prevent this. Share Bible verses. Anything that will prevent that person from doing that sin again.

What do you do? Hand out with them, show them the way you keep your self potioned where you will not be pinned in the cage match with the enemy. Tell them maybe you just don't need to be in a relationship with this person because maybe it just puts too much lust on their mind and they cannot control themselves. SO WHAT DO YOU DO TO HELP A SINFUL PERSON THAT CONTINUES TO DO THIS SIN? Like i said, comfort them, care for them, text them everyday checking up on them making sure they hear from the word of our Lord and Saviour everyday and to keep him in mind before they do something.

Weed Grass

Have you ever heard of this? Wheat Grass? Who would ever imagine wheat grass?

I was sitting at lunch today with Riley from Newspring, and he tells me about this awesome shot of nutrients called wheat grass. He said he went to this smoothie place in Greenville and tried wheat grass. He said it tasted nasty but had equal to 2.5 pounds of vegetables in like three tablespoons. He said he was energized and felt great the whole rest of the night.

That is what I think a lot of people do in the "church" is the get a big ole' shot of wheat grass when they come to Newpsring. Get pumped up and feeling good, in the mood and ready to explode. But what happens when you go home to your family? Or even your school. Are you eating that wheat grass everyday? Are you pumped about Jesus everyday. I think people hear the word on Wednesdays and sometimes Sundays and that is all. What makes me good in the morning? MY WHEAT GRASS! The word makes me awake and feeling good every morning. Why? Because I get pumped and ready to explode with ambition and a positive attitude because I heard God saying how i need to act and I try to be like him everyday!

Just like the wheat grass, I am ready to fight the war I am called to make. Where are my defence and attack weapons? THE BIBLE! Where is my energy? THE BIBLE! To make war you must read and obtane all the information! The truth is in THE BIBLE!

So that is my prayer for tonight!

My Story

Starting in sixth grade I did bad things, hung out with the wrong people, and said the wrong things. I lusted over girls more that I could ever imagine. I cussed like a pirate and gossiped up the hills. I had no respect for adults and was not willing to understand or appreciate them. I was a big ole' highway to hell. I was nothing but another average piece of garbage that was heading towards a life or regrets and an eternal life in the firey pits of Hell. In January of seventh grade, I started attending Newspring's Fuse services on wednesday. I felt uncomfortable and didn't even pay attention to way they had to say. I was with my friend who had started there as well and we both destracted people. Brad would talk and talk and I would text on my phone and talk to my friend. I liked the music and that was about all. I never understood the message the music was playing but I liked it. I continued going and started listening more and paying attention. By the time we were moving into the new building, I was accually attending the service weekly and understanding what was being said. March 28, 2009, somewhere between 6:30 and 8:00 God touched me and told me I was needed in Heaven. He pounded on me to come to him, become a member of Heaven. Clayten King was preaching that night and he pumped me up. I was about to go crazy if I didn't hurry up and accept Jesus right then and there. I knew I was going to do it and it was driving me crazy. When he finally offered the invatation, I immediately stood up. He told us to say this, "Jesus, you are my savior, I believe you died on the cross and saved me." Every one of those words I meant, I do mean, and I will always mean. Over the summer I went to Gauntlet and was moved by God tremendously. Now I am in a small group with Trey Burns and Tyler Morey. Those guys are awesome and have helped me a lot. I have stopped hanging out with the wrong friends, doing the wrong things, and talking the wrong ways. I am a man of God and will not see my friends parish. I have a good many of friends that aren't saved, and havn't ever tried, "church". I believe that everyone has their duty in life and that God puts it in you. My duty is to help my friends. The leader of my school and risk my friendship with friends to save them from burning in Hell. So my story stands, unbroken with a sea of trust and faith. I have God in me and that will never change. My desire are big and will challenge me and I must strive to acomplish these tasks. In the bible it says "Three things will last forever, faith, hope, and love. The greatest of these is love." Corinthians 13:13. So I will love my teachers, my family, my friends, my enimies, and savior, my everything with all I can.
